What To See and DoBeing one of the biggest one-day agricultural shows in the UK, there are plenty of things to see and do at Moreton Show! The 165 acre site in the North Cotswolds boasts a vast array of attractions for all the family from the Shetland Pony Grand National and The Farmers Bloodhounds to the RPM Bike Trials and Sheep Shearing, you won’t be short of things to see!
You can be sure to see a selection of the best in Livestock, with stockmen and women travelling from all over the UK to Moreton Show. Moreton Show strives to entertain and inform even the most experienced of farmers with expert commentary throughout the day.
The Horse section proffers a diverse range of entertainment from Mountain and Moorland and ROR classes to Showjumping and Arena Eventing. This includes over 30 Horse of The Year (HOYS) qualifiers! As well as this, the farriers can be found battling it out, shaping metal into horseshoes and competing for the ‘Best Shod Horse’ title. Not to mention the Heavy Horses, who when not parading in the Grand Arena, can be found by visitors in the Hooky Horse Area.
The Grand Arena is where you can find the true showstoppers of the day including but not limited to, The Five Show Showjumping Challenge, The Hayman-Joyce Pony Club Pairs Relay and the Grand Parade of all the cattle, sheep and goats entered in this year’s show.
Be sure to stop in at the Home & Garden Marquee to see the best in flowers, vegetables, handicrafts, wines and home baking. We can guarantee you will be blown away by the incredible talent shown by our exhibitors.
If its tractors you’re into Moreton Show has got your back with The Vintage Tractors parading in the Rural Attractions Ring as well as a static display of implements. Additionally, you will see plenty of the latest machinery on sale around the showground.
When we say Moreton Show is for all the family, we mean all the family, that includes our canine friends who can compete in the Cotswold Raw Companion Dog Show and show off everything from their obedience to their looks! There is an extra special place in the show for our terrific terriers who will be called into the ring to compete in terrier racing – a highly amusing activity for both the terriers and spectators!
And last but not least there’s the shopping- with our trade stands selling everything from food and hand-crafted gifts to country clothing and farm machinery, you are sure to find what you’re looking for at Moreton Show.
